Meet our founder, James Cody.

James is a land developer driven by a passion for transforming greenfield sites into operational, sustainable infrastructure through strong relationships and innovative strategy. He holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Management from Western Colorado University and completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Colorado Boulder.

His early career focused on advocacy and sustainable resource management before transitioning into utility-scale renewable energy development. Fueled by intellectual curiosity and a strong work ethic, James has worked across all phases of development—from land acquisition through permitting and entitlement. With deep experience in deal negotiation and a keen eye for building strategic partnerships, he brings a disciplined, collaborative approach that minimizes friction and accelerates project success.

He currently lives with his wife and English lab in Denver. When he’s not pacing around on the phone, James can be found riding his bike, watching Colorado football, or crafting a new recipe in the kitchen.
